Topaz Denizcilik Ekspertiz ve Danismanlik Ltd. Sti. was established in 1993 in Istanbul: the meeting point of the East and the West, of Europe and Asia.

At first, we have started to work with local insurers and then International cargo underwriters through survey companies abroad. After learning the standards and ethical conditions of the marine survey work, we have established better relations with built up reliability and trust among our principles. Afterwards, our network grown and we have started to conduct surveys for major underwriters and traders in Turkey.

Our goal was to achieve high quality marine survey services to our principals. It came by using experienced professionals always with sea back ground individuals, following a professional manner, abiding by ethics, international rules and regulations during our survey performances.

TOPAZ, improved its marine survey services and opened new offices in Turkey and abroad. We realised the necessity of local surveyors at Caucasus Region. We have local surveyors at Batumi, Georgia and Baku, Azerbaijan to attend the matters in the region.

TOPAZ established respectable business relations among the International Shipping Market, with Cargo underwriters, P &I Insurers, CMR underwriters, Average adjusters, Loss adjusters, Ship Owners/ Operators/ Managers, Ship Agents, International Commodity Traders and Independent marine survey companies both in Turkey and abroad. TRUST and RELIABILITY became our goal when performing marine surveying. We have followed ethical rules set by various Institutes of which I am personally member of several of them in U.K. and USA.

We can provide a full range of marine survey and loss adjustment services in Caucasus Black Sea, Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East regions with reliable and well-experienced associate marine surveyors. We built a small network of associate marine surveying in the above regions. We always use member of Marine Survey Institutes and Societies in Europe, UK and USA when we offer a marine survey service at any port in the area.

Topaz is appointed as Flag State Inspectors for Antigua & Barbuda, Luxembourg, St. Kitts & Nevis, Vanuatu and Panama Flag vessels in Turkey and the region.
